Flow-Based Hatha Yoga classes sequence movements that "flow" with the breath in a more vigorous series. Flow-Based Hatha Yoga involves moving from one posture to another with very little rest in between and creates a strong cardiovascular workout.

Yin is both a gentle and challenging yoga practice that is designed to literally open the body, peeling away layers of tension, stress and injury that reside within. A gentle approach is used to stretch the body, using longer holds to get beyond the muscle tissue into the connective tissue, the fascia of the body. All poses are seated or reclined. The slower nature of this practice is often described as a "moving meditation."
Yin and Yang are not opposites or absolutes, but rather dynamic and complimentary expressions of qualities that exist in order to reveal meaning and purpose in one another. One can not exist with out the other, there would be no dark if there was not light. Together they create balance. In this class we will spend the Yin portion working the connective tissues of the body using longer holds to go beyond muscle tissue, and focusing on letting deep tension and stress release through breath and mindfulness. We will gently transition to the Yang portion where we will use fluid motion and muscular tissue to build energy. The perfect blend to leave you feeling rested, restored, and wonderfully balanced! This class can be adapted to include any level of practitioner. Everyone is welcome.
