Come 10-15 minutes before class on an empty stomach (no substantial food for 2 hours) and drink plenty of water. Try to plan your day's meals accordingly so that you are not overly hungry by class time. A light snack, fruit or juice is fine. Most importantly come with an open heart / mind and a receptive body.
Beginner classes are "user friendly" and designed for those who may have poor conditioning and inflexiblity. Barring any physical illness or serious injury anyone can do yoga and should gauge their effort and class style accordingly.
Wear loose comfortable clothing that will allow you to stretch and move around. All classes are done in bare feet. We have change booths and cubicle storage areas.

Yes! Many men have played sports since their youth, and they are strong – but also a little tight. As hockey players, figure skaters and golfers can attest to, yoga is the perfect basis for a strong cross-training program that includes stretching, strengthening, improved range of motion and assists in speedy recovery from injury.
Yoga postures can be adapted for most conditions. We would be happy to discuss the appropriate class for you. Please inform the instructor if you have any injuries or health problems before the class begins. If you have a particular injury or health problem, doing a few private classes to asses and adapt before joining classes work great.
We do many types of privates from corporate wellness days, hockey and soccer teams, running groups, entire schools, office personnel, individuals and small groups. Please call for prices.
